ARCH 433/633 – CULLINAN SEMINAR SARAH WHITING, T 9:30-11:50AM, AH 217 The fall 2015 Cullinan Seminar, entitled RELEVANCE, is open to all students in the school of architecture, but will be capped at 16 students, based on a statement of intent handed in at the first seminar session. This seminar focuses on the topic of RELEVANCE with a close reading of the writings and practices by and about this semester’s four RSA Cullinan visitors: Sarah Oppenheimer (artist, New York), Sam Jacob (Sam Jacob Studio, London), Juan Herreros (estudio Herreros, Madrid), and Alessandra Cianchetta (AWP Architects, Paris). Additionally, the seminar will feature one seminar session with each of the four visitors. Students are required to do substantial reading for each seminar session, submit weekly questions, and do two short papers. The course is open to qualified non-Architecture majors.
